Lionel Messi arguable the best footballer on the planet, possibly the best we’ve seen since Diego Maradona (pure opinion obviously), and yet he can never seem to get his red carpet/award show look right. Its not so much his styling but the suits themselves, they’re reminiscent of the quality you get at ‘2 suits for £100’ or what kids where to their ‘First Holy Communion’.

Wiz Khalifa shows us exactly why bespoke was invented. My guess is he only decided to go to the show at the last minute and this was the longest size he could get on the high street store. We always like to show a bit of cuff but come on! He’s showing wrist, cuff and forearm.

Whenever I see a guy wear a short-sleeved shirt and tie, I’m reminded of a film I saw many years ago with Michael Douglas called ‘Falling Down’ (and he was going bat crazy in that film if you haven’t seen it).

If the brand/company/corporation has a good reputation for the service they provide then the very sight of an employee in that brand uniform will fill a potential customer with confidence that their needs will be met.

4. You’re of the 21st century, not a 1940’s man
You’re well aware of the high waist trousers men ‘used’ to wear ‘back in the day’. So ties didn’t need to be as long in length. You’re also well aware that there was a small trend in wearing short ties back then but that trend is happily resting in peace, where it should be.

White sports socks with your suits are criminal. It’s very reminiscent of Michael Jackson (but he was a performal and also the King of pop so he’s cool). It has the worst contrast ever, so steer clear.
